January 25th School Improvement Day
North Mac High School
- Rti – Presentation to all staff about interventions to be implemented across the board (both general education classes and special education classes)
- PBIS meeting – Mr. Paisley will lead this meeting.
- English and Math departments will work through the implementation process of the Common Core State Standards.
- Handbook review will take place by staff.
- Professional Development team will discuss ideas for future planning at the high school.
- Special Education team will discuss our new Autoskills program and future needs.
North Mac Middle School
- 12:30 - 1:30: 6th-8th Staff Meeting
- 1:30 - 3:00: Common Core Standards Gap Analysis across the curriculum, implementation timeline, and curricular needs for the adaptation of the Common Core Standards.
Girard Elementary School
- Gap Analysis of Common Core Standards and our current curriculum in English Language Arts and Mathematics by grade level.
- Discussion and action plan on how to introduce standards to parents, timeline of implementation and what is needed before implementation can occur.
Virden Elementary School
- Autoskills Demonstration – Sally Anderson
- Designed to give everyone an overview of the Autoskills program being implemented with students
- PBIS Presentation – Dawn Roesch and Becky Hampton

- Bring: the information given to you about Predicting and the information on the 6 Comprehension Strategies
- Small Groups
- Promethean Board users
- K – 3rd grade staff (unless you are in the Promethean board group)
- 4th – 5th grade staff
- Common Core Standards – this will be a focus on all following SIP Days
