I am a Title 1 reading and math teacher at North Mac Intermediate School. I started teaching in the Virden School District in 1993 at the elementary school. I transitioned from teaching in the Title 1 program to being a first grade teacher for four years, then back to Title 1. Reading and math are my teaching passions!  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Science Degree in Reading Education from Western Illinois University. I continued taking post-graduate reading and literature courses to earn a Reading Specialist endorsement. I'm married and have grown children.
