Mr. Burton's Home Page

OK....that's not REALLY my picture here on my Home Page.....BUT......I welcome you to 8th Grade English!! My name is Chad Burton and I will be your teacher, mentor, and guide through this exciting school year!.  

I have lived in the North Mac district since 2009 and this is my 6th full time year here at NMMS.  I completed my Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Marketing in 2006 and my Masters in Education in 2009 at Benedictine University. 

I have been married to my wife Sally since 2010 and we have a blended family with 5 kids! This past summer, we welcomed my FIRST Grandchild, so I am now officially a "Pop Pop"! 

I love working at North Mac because I get to build relationships with the students, parents, and the faculty & staff.  It's great to see the progress students make throughout the school year.

I make a conscious effort to make the learning process fun -but, let's be honest, not ALL can be fun...However, I will do my best whenever and wherever I can inject some fun & cool activities!!! 

In my spare time I like to read, watch tv and movies, travel and sight-see, play music (I'm a multi-instrument musician) and I own/operate my own DJ business. I am also a big trivia buff/fan! 

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and to having a fantastic school year!
