Mrs. Sonneborn’s Classroom Rules
6th Science
- Always bring science materials needed. You will need your science book, your science notebook and folder, and a pencil. Your agenda must be with you at all times. You must use a pencil on all homework. There will be 10 points taken off for any homework completed in ink. There will also be half a point taken for not having your name on your paper.
- You are to be in the room when the bell rings. If not, you will be considered tardy. Let me know BEFORE the bell rings of any problems that could cause you to be tardy.
- Assignments are to be handed in on time. I will give 50% credit if I receive the assignment anytime after. Absent work will be the only exception for late work.
- You are allowed three late assignments in one quarter. The fourth will result in a detention and one for every one after.
- There will be NO gum chewing or candy eating.
- Respect yourselves, others, and school property.
- Privileges are a gift, if abused, they can be taken away.
- You are allowed three tardies in one quarter. The fourth will result in a detention and one for every one after. If this problem persists, the issue will be turned over to the principal.
- You are allowed three lacks in one quarter. The fourth will result in a detention and one for every one after.
- All detentions must be signed by a parent/ guardian and returned the next day. Detentions will be served Tuesday or Thursday from 3:00 to 3:30 each week.
Consequences of Failure to Follow Rules
- allowed to have 2 warnings
- 3rd warning will result in a detention
- 4th warning will result in a detentio
- 5th there will be a conference with the principal
- Other discipline per handbook
