Any of the following will cause a student to be ineligible:
§Students suspended out of school (OSS) or in school (ISS) for any reason in middle school
§Students with more than 1 behavioral detention in middle school
§ 27 or more unexcused absences in middle school
§Students with an F average for end of the year grade in any subject in middle school
§Students with outstanding balances as of a designated date
§In addition to this eligibility policy, administration and the D.C. planning committee will meet periodically to discuss student behaviors. It is our responsibility to ensure the safety and a positive experience for all attending the trip. It is our discretion to remove a student who has displayed behaviors that could jeopardize the safety or success of the trip. In the event of extenuating circumstances, when a student does not meet the criteria for eligibility listed, a student and guardian may file a formal appeal in writing describing the circumstances of their ineligibility. Eligibility decisions will be determined at the discretion of the administration and D.C. planning committee.
