My name is Joan Gocking and I am the paraprofessional in Mrs. Campbell’s Pre-K room. I am so excited to be working in Pre-K! I substituted for the North Mac School District the last seven and a half years, and Pre-K was always my favorite place to be!
I have an Elementary Education degree and a minor in Early Childhood Education. Besides Pre-K, I taught First Grade and Kindergarten right out of college. I also was a secretary and a stay- at-home Mom for a while, too. An interesting fact about me is that while my name starts with a G, it is pronounced like a J so it is pronounce “Jawking”. I live in Virden with my husband, Steve, son Nathan and dog Kubby. My Mom lives with us during the Winter and early Spring. Steve is a Pastor and works part time at DiCarlo’s. Nathan is in the band and plays trumpet and loves all things about computers. I love to take walks with Kubby, knit and bake in my spare time. Pre-K is such an exciting place to be! It is a privilege to work with your child! |
