Meet the Teachers!
Mrs. Carrie Buchanan: I live North of Thayer with my husband, Matt. We have two children. Our son, Hunter, is a graduate student at UIS majoring in Environmental Sciences. Our daughter, Makenna, is starting the nursing program through ISU. This is my 23rd year teaching prek/EC at Virden/North Mac Elementary. Prior to this I was a Developmental Therapist for Early Intervention in Chicago.
Mrs. Angie Woolsey: She has been in our program for 23 years as well. Prior to that she has worked in daycare/prek programs. Mrs Woolsey lives in Hettick with her husband, Paul. They have three children; Chris who works at Kincaid Power Plant, Stephanie who is a Dental Hygientist, and Patrick who is enrolled in the Navy.
